About Home BP Log
Home BP Log is a small independent project that helps people keep a home blood pressure log and average it the way a 7-day protocol describes. Many people take readings at home and then are not sure how to add them up, which readings to use, or what to show their clinician. This site does that arithmetic and shows its work.
Why this site exists
Published guidance describes a clear method for a home blood pressure log: measure for several days, two readings in the morning and two in the evening, set aside the first day, and average the rest. What people usually lack is a simple way to follow it. The arithmetic is easy to get wrong, such as which readings to include, how to keep morning and evening apart, and what to do about gaps. Home readings also give your clinician information that a single office visit cannot, which is why they are often requested.
Home BP Log exists to do that arithmetic correctly and to show its work, so you can bring your clinician a clear, honest summary.
What it is
- A free calculator and an optional account for saving your readings.
- Clear averages for morning, evening, and overall, with counts, highest, lowest, and any missing sessions.
- Plain-language guides about measuring and logging.
What it is not
It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, score risk, or recommend treatment or medication. Your numbers are only as good as the way they were measured, and only your clinician can say what they mean for you.
How it is funded
The site is free to use. Public information pages may show advertising to cover running costs. There are no ads on the calculator, your results, or your account pages.
